Probal Dasgupta
Probal Dasgupta (born 19 September 1953, Kolkata, India) is the current (2010–2013) president of the Universala Esperanto-Asocio (World Esperanto Association).[1]
Dasgupta obtained his PhD from New York University (1980; thesis title: Questions and Relative and Complement Clauses in a Bangla Grammar) and became professor for applied linguistics at University of Hyderabad in 1989.
Since 2004 he is an honorary member of the Linguistic Society of America.
